Make Nepal a Hindu nation: Hindu activists

Posted by ohnepal on February 21, 2007

Although, anything that the terrorist government (SPAM) of Nepal does hardly matters…a few sane minds of the world are taking note of the events happening in Nepal and trying their best to restore the lost dignity of Nepal.

The fact of the matter remains is that these bunch of terrorists who came to power in Nepal by sheer hooliganism and MOB and Goon movement have no right what-so-ever to take any decision that concerns Nepal or Nepalis.  A bunch of power hungry terrorists cannot decide for 24 crore Nepalis. Period.

A news artcile from nepalnews:

Make Nepal a Hindu nation: Hindu activists

Participants of an interaction in New York have urged all Hindus across the globe to work to defend Nepal as a Hindu nation.

Speaking at the interaction organized by Sanatan Darma, Sanskrit and Nepali Center at Shree Satya Naraian Temple, New York City Hindus from various parts of the United States, Canada, India, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Bhutan, Shri Lanka, Trinidad, Guyana and Nepal expressed solidarity for Nepali Hindus to make Nepal a Hindu nation.

The parliament reinstated following the success of the April movement has declared Nepal as a secular country. Hindu activists are protesting against the parliament’s decision and demanding to make Nepal a Hindu country.

A press release issued by the organiser said, scholars from the Indian American community Arish Sahani and Shree Gaurang G. Vaishnav, General Secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council of America) Raju Bhatija and Vijay Sigdel, a political activist from Nepal presented their views in favour of making Nepal a Hindu state.

Speaking at the programme, Vaishnav said that all Hindus must be united and rise up to defeat the foreign and internal enemies who wish to divide the Hindus.

Bishal Bikram Shah, a Nepali scholar currently living in New York city condemned the violence and pelting of stones during the visit of His Majesty King Gyanendra to offer prayers to Lord Pashupatinath on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

He demanded that the miscreants, hooligans and criminal elements be arrested and punished.

Various Nepali artists also presented cultural programme on the occasion. nepalnews.com pb Feb 21 07

Dozens of former Kamaiyas arrested

Posted by ohnepal on July 18, 2006

Nothing is permanent but change.

The same government which came to power using Mob and Goon protests is today surpressing every kind of peaceful protest in Nepal using the help of it’s terrorist partners. Wasn’t it the same government that was talking about “people’s right to protest’ and ‘power to dalits’ before coming to power. Well, short sightedness is Nepali genes.

Arrests, extortions, rapes, killings are the order of the day. We just thought some of us you may be watching (terrorism) Democracy, Nepal style. Ohhh and where did all the media reports go on the Human Rights violence in Nepal? Hello…is anyone listening?

Check out the news below from Nepalnews and feel free to comment or spread:

Dozens of former Kamaiyas arrested

Police have taken into custody nearly 100 former Kamaiyas (bonded labourers) as they were trying to organise a protest program in front of Singha Durbar demanding for land and employment opportunities for them.

The government had abolished the practice of bonded laborers six years ago on July 18. Out of over 35,000 bonded labourers from ethnic Tharu communities in four districts of western Nepal, 19,000 former Kamaiyas are yet to get a piece of land as promised by the government, according to reports.

Details to follow.

False Promises, Plain Rhetorics

Posted by ohnepal on June 18, 2006

Well, well, if SPAM started doing what it said, half of the problems of Nepal would be solved (or perhaps not). Not many days have passed since SPAM proclaimed, "1/3rd reservation for women." And just a day after joint proclamation by SPA and M, we see the women protesting for 1/3rd seat in the council that will draft the (evil) interim constitution.

And check the picture below published in eKantipur.

Police arrest women belonging to various organizations protesting in front of the Singha Durbar, in Kathmandu, on Sunday. The unions have demanded a one-third representation of women in the drafting committee of the interim constitution to be formed within two weeks

So SPAM? We are watching you with our eyes wide shut (as we remain believers in Gandhi's 3 monkeys)!

And ummm, SPAM, why arrest the peaceful protestors? That too women! Isn't it against your philosophy? We hope the Great democracies of South and West are watching it. Any comments?

Hindus protest in Nepal against official switch to secular state

Posted by ohnepal on May 25, 2006

We encourage every bit of peaceful protest that is taking place against the Unholy SPAM alliance. We do not want a corrupt, terrorist democracy of SPAM. Thank you to our brothers. If SPAM can unleash it's mobs and terrorize people then we can surely teach SPAM a lesson or two in Protesting. Go on, speak out your voice, shout out your voice. Bring a permanent full stop to corruption and terrorism. AFP brings us the following news:

Hindus protest in Nepal against official switch to secular state

Thu May 25, 2:58 AM ET

KATHMANDU (AFP) – Religious activists have called a strike to protest against the government's decision to end Nepal's status as the world's last Hindu kingdom, police said.

Demonstrators blocked roads on Wednesday with burning tyres, closed shops and ransacked a newspaper van before torching its contents because it backed the new government's move to order Nepal's change to a secular state.

Police said Hindu groups planned to continue their protests at the border town of Birgunj 275 kilometres (170 miles) south of Kathmandu, with demonstrators travelling from the capital and neighbouring India.

"The activists have called for a general strike today and have begun obstructing the traffic by burning tyres," said the town's police chief Bir Bahadur Rana on Thursday.

He said the protests had been growing for several days with Wednesday's disturbances the largest so far with property including a dental hospital vandalised.

Nepal's government last week proclaimed that Nepal, whose population of 27 million is more than 80 percent Hindu, was now a secular state as part of an effort to remove powers from King Gyanendra.

He was forced to give up 14 months of absolute rule last month in the face of weeks of popular protests.

Gyanendra is seen by many of his countrymen as the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu protector, but has been condemned by rights groups and political opponents for his authoritarian style and crackdown on protests that left 19 dead in April.
